Game Coach

At the appointed party starting time, players are brought together for a briefing by the Game Coach on how the laser taggers work, safety rules for the game, boundaries of the battlefield, objectives of the game and questions from the players. The teams are chosen, players are issued laser taggers and sent to the starting point for their team. The players wait in their designated areas until the Game Coach starts the game.

When a player is "hit" on one of their laser tagger sensors by an opposing player, the tagger registers the hit on its display screen and the gun's speaker gives an audible "grunt" so the player knows he has been tagged. Most games are team based so players win or lose as a team. When a player has been tagged by an opponent the predetermined number of times, his or her tagger is disabled until the game is over and the Game Coach restarts all the taggers for the next game.
